Program Author: Alicia Curtis
Alicia is a significant volunteer and long-standing contributor to the Western Australian community. She is a passionate business woman, managing a successful youth leadership training business.
Described as a dynamic presenter, Alicia has worked extensively with young people in schools, businesses, community projects and conferences developing community leadership skills. Her clients include over 50 schools and community organisations in Western Australia. Alicia is also a Certified Practitioner of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, presenting workshops on Whole Brain Thinking.
Alicia's involvement in the community started at 12 years old when she co-founded a conference called 'kids helping kids' with three other young people. This conference has helped many young people across the state, start their own environmental projects in their school. Many young Western Australians have been inspired to help their school and community through this initiative. This group is now called Millennium Kids and is in its eleventh year.
Currently, Alicia serves as Development Officer on the Western Australian Division of the Business and Professional Women's Association as well as the State Chapter Management Team for National Speakers Association. In 2005, Alicia was named one of five Australian Ambassadors for Disneyland's 50th Anniversary in Los Angeles.
Alicia also finds time to study a Masters degree in Leadership and Management at Curtin University.
